WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HARD AND SOFT QUARTZITE?
Hard quartzite carries features similar to granite, so they are very durable. Soft quartzites, on the other hand, carry similar features to marble. We can say that soft quartzite is a hard marble, so it can still scratch and etch if used as countertops. IS QUARTZITE BETTER THAN GRANITE?
Hard quartzite is almost as durable as granite. You still need to be a little bit careful with heat because quartzite is not as heat resistant as granite. Like granite, quartzite countertops need to be re-sealed periodically.
CAN YOU PUT A HOT PAN ON QUARTZITE COUNTERTOPS?
We do not recommend placing hot pans directly over quartzite countertops because heat can cause damage to the surface.
IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN QUARTZITE AND QUARTZ?

IS QUARTZITE CHEAPER THAN GRANITE?
In most cases, quartzite countertops are more expensive than granite countertops; however, the price also depends on the particular stone.
CAN I USE WINDEX ON QUARTZITE?
Windex should not be used to clean any natural stone, including quartzite. Windex is recommended for manmade stones (quartz countertops) only.
HOW IS QUARTZITE COUNTERTOPS SEALED?
Sealing quartzite countertops is no different than sealing granite countertops. Pour some sealer on the surface of the stone, let the stone absorb some of the sealers, and wipe off the remainder.
